Bitsy Professional Jumbo Lemon Squeezer Review

For as long as I can remember, my sisters and I have sat at the dinner table, a lemon for each sister (3 of us all together) and rolled lemons to soften them on the table, to prep them for my mom, or for one of us girls to squeeze into her famous salsa or pico de gallo. It has always been the worst part about making these sides, especially the actual hand squeezing of the lemons.

I was extremely excited to try this Lemon Squeezer out over the weekend. I prepped all the salsa ingredients, and placed them in the blender, the final ingredient would be the lemon. My lemons were smaller than the size of the squeezers shell, but it still did the job it was supposed to do, this means you can juice almost any sized citrus fruits with ease.

Ready to go

This squeezed so much juice, you can see it in the picture.

I wasn't expecting the salsa to be so lemony. I guess this is because we used to squeeze the lemons by hand, and never extracted as much as this lemon squeezer did. Another bonus was not having to pull all lemon seeds out of the blender after squeezing the life out of them, they all stayed behind in the lemon shell, or with the rind. Anyway, the salsa was SO good. I will NEVER again, squeeze lemons by hand.

The handles on the lemon squeezer are quite long, so someone with small hands such as myself, will need to use both hands to squeeze. This isn't a problem though, as it's 100 times better than squeeze the lemons by hand. With one squeeze, the entire lemon-half was nearly juiced. It didn't require a second squeeze, but I did give one and didn't get too much more, cause it was all nearly gone. As you can see by the attached photos, the lemon rind was almost dry. It was amazing.

A bit of the finished product.

The lemon squeezer, is stainless steel, commercial grade quality, so it won't rust or break over time. It's heavy duty, which you can easily see just by holding it in your hands. The squeezer is very easy to clean and is dishwasher safe. It also has a round stainless steel ring located at the top, which you can use to hang when storing it. I'll remind you that it's quite large, so for me, the hanging ring was perfect because it will not fit too well in my utility drawer, but it looks really nice hanging in the kitchen. I am extremely satisfied with this product, and would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a lemon squeezer, whether for your home, or for work. This is even great for kids who do lemonade fundraisers, as it can be used for many many years. (It has a 3 year guarantee, which I doubt you'll need.)

This Lemon Squeezer retails on Amazon.com for $17.99 and ships free with Amazon Prime. I know it'll last a very long time, so the price is JUST right for a product like this. You will not need to replace it over and over, like my mom has with other lemon squeezers. Please go check out the reviews on Amazon.com. You will not be disappointed.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Dot&Dot Small Packing Cubes Review

Living in South Texas, I often travel a couple of hours north to San Antonio, to visit my older sister and her family. I usually make it a weekend trip, so I like to pack lightly and take only the essentials.
My weekend bag of choice is a large tote bag my husband purchased for me a few months ago, for weekend trip purposes. The only downside is that the bag is a one-large compartment bag, with no dividers or zippers, so everything was jammed in there, and this usually meant that my one bag turned into 3, where I had to pack my make up, and toiletries that would otherwise be floating in my Weekender.

A few days ago, I received a package in the mail that I had been patiently waiting for. I was selected to review a set of 4 small packing cubes from Dot&Dot Travel, free of charge. I knew the package was to arrive the day before my over night trip to San Antonio, and I just couldn't wait.

The package finally arrived, and to my surprise, the 4 pack came in a PVC plastic zip bag for storing. I thought they were just going to be tossed in a cardboard box and shipped to me, this meant these weren't going to be floating around and get lost or separated when I wasn't going to be using them. The plastic bag can also be used for other purposes, such as storing wet clothes if you go swimming, keeping sand off of items when at the beach, or even storing foods that might have condensation or might spill in other bags, as it would be EASY to clean up.

My 4 packing Cubes and their contents

I opened up my plastic Dot&Dot zip bag, to pull out the 4 packing cubes.  They were a lot roomier than I expected. My packing cubes were dark blue, a very pretty, vibrant dark blue with a small honey comb pattern. They feature a see-through mesh panel in the front which takes up about 2/3's of the front design, making it really easy to see what is contained in the cube. This was probably my favorite feature of all, as when I was searching for my vitamins, I could see exactly what cube they were in and didn't have to zip and unzip all the bags to look for them. They also have a top handle, which makes carrying the cubes, and moving them around a lot easier.

I placed all my packing cubes at the bottom of my bag. I laid 2 cubes side by side, and stacked the other two on top of those. They fit perfectly inside my bag. On top of those, I placed an extra pair of shoes, and then my clothes. My weekend bag (or Weekender as it's technically called) comes in a zipper pouch, which attaches to the inside of my travel bag, and doubles as a small pouch. So in that small pouch is where I place my under garments, and socks, as that's something I wouldn't want to see through a mesh panel. Everything fit great, and I didn't have to carry any extra bags for my toiletries and make up. So it was just my travel bag, and my purse, and off I went.

I arrived at my sisters house in San Antonio, with less bags than I usually have to take. My sister even made a comment about how light I had packed. I showed her my travel cubes, which she LOVED. I told her that they made packing everything into one bag so much easier, and that it was easy to find what I needed with the mesh panels in the front.

I definitely think these Dot&Dot travel cubes are worth every penny. They make your luggage look a lot neater and more uniform. The only downside I did find to these was something VERY MINOR. The material used for these cubes, although very strong, is pretty thin. I do not see them tearing anytime soon, which is wonderful, but them being as thin as they are, tends to make them a bit floppy. So putting anything bulky or heavy, or anything that could break easily would not be recommended. I did have to remove my perfume bottle from the bag that has the degree deodorant, just to avoid breaking it, or having it open in transit and spill. If they had a little extra padding, or a sturdier inner lining they'd be PERFECT. Other than that I am completely happy with these packing cubes, and I can see myself using them for years to come.

I would highly recommend any one looking for travel supplies, to take look at these. They retail for $29.97 on Amazon.com and come in a variety of colors, including the Dark Blue pictured above, Grey, Black, Pink, Purple, Red, Orange, Yellow, Light Blue and Green.

Advil Film Coated Pain Reliever

Being a Crowdtap Member, definitely has it's perks. Take for instance, the day, I received an email form them, notifying me, that I had been selected to take part in a "Sample Share" for Advil.  The Sample Share was called #FastAdvil Fanatics Sample and Share.

I was super excited to take part in this SS from Crowdtap, and receive 8- 2 Count Sample Packs of Advil. Along with the Advil I received several $3.00 off coupons, to share, as pictured below.

(Personal Picture #spon)

I decided that on Saturday, the 18th of October, when my parents and my 2 sisters were going to come over to visit, I was going to lay out the Advil on my Dining Table, for us all to take. Oddly/Sadly enough 2 of did have headaches, So we had a chance to actually try them, and see if we noticed a change in our pain.

Saturday evening, before they arrived, I decided to place the samples in my pumpkin dish.

(Personal Picture #spon)

When they all arrived, they asked "What was with the Advil?" I told them I was a memeber of Crowdtap, and had received them, to share with whoever I'd like, and I chose them to share with.
My older sister as the other person that had a headache besides me. We sat and talked about what pain relievers we preferred, and thats when my sister and I decided to take two tablets each, from our sample packs.

After a few minutes we all sat back down at the dinner table, to have another chat, and some snacks I had laid out, we had a great time. My mom noticed that my older sister wasn't squinting as much, which she tends to do when she has a headache. Sometimes we fear she's getting a migraine, which we all dread for her. But, no, we were all laughing, and joking around, watching the kids run around. And that's when my mom asked how we were feeling. (This was maybe a little over an hour/ hour and a half later) I hadn't even noticed my headache had gone away. My sister made a face, as if to "check" if she still had a headache. She told my mom that she could still feel a bit of a headache, but it wasn't as bad as it was before, she knew it was going away. I was so relieved because I would rather have a headache instead of her, She suffers immensly.

All in all, aside from having the most amazing time with some of my favorite people, we couldn't have had that great of a time, without some awesome pain relief. I thank Crowdtap, and Advil for this opportunity to sample such an amazing product. I will be keeping a $3.00 coupon for myself, to make a purchase this week.

Go Buy Some!!!

Body Champ BRM3671 Cardio Dual Trainer

We purchased the Dual Cardio Trainer, because of the good reviews we saw on the machine.

Upon receiving the Elliptical, we found a set of instructions to put the machine together. They looked a bit intimidating, but as it turns out, they were actually quite simple to follow. It took about an hour and a half to 2 hours to complete the set up process, and to finally test it.

This Elliptical is pretty versatile, you can use it both as a standing elliptical, or a sitting cycle, and alternate during your work out. The LCD console features preset workout programs, a heart-rate monitor and customizable programs programs for users. The seat adjusts both vertically and horizontally to provide a comfortable sitting experience.

This machine is not bulky, it takes up about as much room as a stationary bike, it's light weight, and pretty portable. We've managed to drag it up stairs to put it in a different room, and move it around, all without any damage to the sturdy steel frame.

The only thing I did notice, was that when you do get on, you have to be a bit careful. If I place my foot on the side I'm standing, and carry my leg over to put it on the other side, the machine will tilt, which is a little scary, cause you think you might fall. What I do, is place my leg on the opposite peddal, and then place my other foot down. Easy, really, and being as it provides a smooth ride, this small downfall, has no negative impact on me.

If you're looking for a great excersize machine, at a great price, do yourself a favor, and look into this, if not purchase it. I highly recommend it.

ChapStick® Hydration Lock Moisturize & Renew

Hello Everyone!!!

Today I have for you a quick review on ChapStick Hydration Lock Moisturize & Renew. I was sent this product for review purposes, from WWW.Smiley360.com. Being a member of Smiley360, I'm often given opportunities to try new products. In return, I offer my 100% honest opinion of said products.

I was fortunate enough to receive this Chapstick, which happens to be dual ended. One side of the Chapstick is the renew end, the other being the moisturizing. I gave them a try, using the Moisture side during the day, and the Renew side at night. I didn't too much of a difference he first couple of days of trying the Chapstick. On about the second day, I did notice that my lips weren't as cracked as they were before. I was having problems with bits of skin on my lips getting flakey, but after a few days of use, they seemed like they were getting repaired.

I do have to say that I do enjoy the Renew end more than the Moisture side.

The Moisturize side is said to reduce the appearance of fine lines, and has COQ10.
The Renew side has natural conditioners, which help soften lips, which is probably why I liked the Renew side best.

I'm still using my tube of Chapstick and hope to have some more insight on my thoughts on this product, but so far, definitely so good.

The product retails for about $2.99 online, and in stores, and is worth every penny. I do recommend it, if you're looking for something to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, while moisturizing and softening your lips.

Again, I was sent this product in exchange for my honest opinion, from Smiley360.
