Mosquito Repellent Incense Sticks Review

I live way out in the country. A small 5 acre ranch. Although it doesn't rain much down here in South Texas, the past few months have seen more rain than we have seen in the last 2 years combined.  The mosquitoes down here are truly Texas sized. They're huge!  The amount of mosquitoes and their large size tend to keep us all indoors, to avoid getting bitten.

Our weapon of choice to combat mosquitoes is always OFF Repellent. And let me tell you, I hate using it. The smell is atrocious, the feel of it on your skin, is just BAD, and it just makes me want to bathe all day. I hate being outside when there are mosquitoes, but sometimes I just have to be.

I received the Mosquito Sticks in exchange for my honest opinion on the product, (no compensation was given) and I gladly accepted them to test out, because of the problem we have down here. I quickly went out to set them up at the picnic table my dad has out by his shed. This is a place we all love to sit and hang out, especially when we have barbecues going on. I opened up the container the mosquito sticks came in. It was a long clear plastic tube, with 2 rubber ends. Inside the tube were 50 incense sticks, protected by crumbled paper, to keep them from moving around too much. I pulled out one stick and stuck it between the boards on the top of the picnic table.

My dad and I sat at the table for a while, just chit chatting, and found that the amount of mosquitoes that were bothering us had been greatly reduced. I did see a few buzz by, but the amount of bites was very minimal. I know it is suggested to place at least 2 sticks to help fight off mosquitoes, but with just one, I was able to fight most of them off. I guess if I had more properly followed the rules, I might have not been bitten at all.

My dad and I were both pleasantly surprised at the fact that these actually seemed to work. I will be trying them out again, and hope to update this blog post with more findings. But for now, my dad and I both agree that so far so good. If you've ever set off fireworks, on the Fourth of July or on New Years Eve, you might be familiar with what we call a mechon. Which roughly translates to candle wick. These mosquito sticks are exactly that. They burn, and look just like them. These mosquito sticks have no scent at all. They burn clean, and take quite a long while to burn all the way through. I would highly recommend anyone who's outside a lot, whether you're working, or just enjoying the cool night air, to look into purchasing these Mosquito Repellent Sticks. They retail on Amazon.com for $13.97. and for 50 sticks, that's definitely a steal. Please use the following link to look them up, and make your purchase. We really enjoyed having these around.
